John Bonham Owned and Worn Hat:
Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham was renowned for his power, speed and "feel" for the musical groove.
During his time with Led Zeppelin, Bonham became one of the most respected and influential drummers in rock
history. He continues to have influence on percussionists of every style imaginable to this day, and he remains
an idol to legions of Led Zeppelin and heavy metal fans worldwide. Here is an item that was owned and
personally worn by John Bonham himself, and comes with incredible firsthand documentation from his family.
This is an exceptional quality Size 7 brown fur hat with a 3 ½” brim and a 1 ½” band around the outside of it,
along with a Lanvin Paris emblem on the inside. (The retailer Lanvin of Paris has sold superior luxury clothing for
the past 124 years and is sought out by royalty, the upper class, and celebrities who demand excellence. This is
not a cheap party hat; it was an expensive purchase!) This hat was donated to the Nordoff-Robbins Music
Therapy Centre by John Bonham’s brother Mick at the 1992 Celebration Days Led Zeppelin Convention held in
London. The Centre’s spokesman, Mr. Willie Robertson, put the item in the charity auction at the convention and
Rick Barrett was fortunate to become the eventual owner. Since several members of the Bonham family were in
attendance at the Zeppelin convention, Rick obtained a handwritten Letter of Authenticity after obtaining the hat.
It was graciously composed on the fly by John’s sister Debbie Bonham and then signed by four other Bonham
family members: James, Zoe, Mick, and Joan (John’s nephew, daughter, brother and mother). Everything is
written in blue marker; the text reads:
Celebration Days 24/5/92
I certify that the hat that Rick Barrett bought @ Celebration Days charity
auction belonged to, and was worn by John Henry Bonham-my brother.
Love, Debbie Bonham (John Bonham’s sister)
From James Bonham (John Bonham’s nephew)
Best Wishes Zoe Bonham (John Bonham’s daughter)
Wear his hat with pride; Mick Bonham (John Bonham’s brother)
Best Wishes, Joan Bonham (John Bonham’s mother)
Also included is a 3 ½” by 5” color picture of the Bonhams which was taken by Rick Barrett at the Celebration
Days convention. (It was terrific to see the interaction and appreciation expressed between fans and John
Bonham’s family!) Rounding out this lot is a complete “Bonham by Bonham” set of exclusive color photos
released by Mick Bonham in 1994. Inside the deluxe black and white folder (with a charming picture of Mick and
John as children on the front) are six quality 11” by 8” pictures which were taken by Mick, who was a respected
photographer. The six photos, separated by protective tissue paper, show John in private at both work and play.
Also included is a letter signed by Mick Bonham, which also indicates what number of the Limited Edition (# 103 /
1000) this is. One of the photographs shows John Bonham wearing the brown hat while playing drums!
Personal items owned by ANY member of Led Zeppelin are almost non-existent in the collecting world. For
reference, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones have never sold any of their own personal items.
Jimmy Page has lent (but not sold or donated) articles of clothing to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and John
Bonham’s wife Pat Bonham has lent one of John’s Ludwig Drum Kits to the Hall of Fame. Finding ANY
items…clothing, memorabilia, instruments, etc. owned and/or used by any member of Led Zeppelin is practically
unheard of. To just hold this incredible item owned by legendary drummer John Bonham in your hands is to be
awe-struck. It is the only item known to exist that was owned by John Bonham, which has found its way to the
open market; it is arguably the rarest hat in the music collecting circles!
To recap, this lot consists of: 1) original John Bonham owned and worn hat, 2) handwritten letter of authenticity
signed by the Bonham family: Debbie, James, Zoe, Mick, and Joan Bonham, 3) a photograph of the Bonham
family taken at the 1992 Celebration Days Led Zeppelin Convention in London, and 4) a Bonham by Bonham six
photo set featuring a color 8 x 11 photograph of John Bonham wearing the hat. There are few authentic Led
Zeppelin collectibles that are more desirable, or that will ever be more highly sought-after than this extraordinary
specimen. If you become the lucky owner of this marvelous item, it will certainly become the cornerstone of one
of the finest Led Zeppelin collections anywhere. $5,000.00

MEGA-RARE Japanese Promo Poster: This is one of the most INCREDIBLE promotional Led Zeppelin posters
ever produced! It is a terrific concert shot of Led Zeppelin from 1977, which shows the entire band live onstage
in great form. John Paul Jones is in the background on the left, Jimmy Page is in the middle playing his Gibson
Les Paul guitar in front of John Bonham and his drum kit, while Robert Plant is on the right-hand side, strutting
his stuff in his distinctive confident manner! A very few of these treasures were issued by the Warner-Pioneer
Corporation in Japan; the company name and Swan Song logo are in small letters in the lower right of this
magnificent 33” by 23” poster. There are pinholes in each of the four corners and an extremely light waterline
down the left-hand side that is practically unnoticeable; otherwise this masterpiece is in very nice condition…call
it an 8 on a 10 scale. Japanese promo posters are some of the scarcest Zeppelin collectibles around, due to
their limited nature, huge demand, and their great quality. If you’re interested in having a true stunning Led
Zeppelin rarity on your wall, then check this out! $850.00

Original 1969 Led Zeppelin Performance Contract: Led Zeppelin played HUNDREDS of live concerts during
their 12 year reign of the music world, and here is an AMAZING historic item from very, very early in their career.
It is a super rare SIGNED PERFORMANCE CONTRACT between Gas Entertainments & Promotions (through the
Chrysalis Agency Limited) and Superhype Ltd. (i.e. Led Zeppelin). The agreement was entered into on March
11th, 1969 for the band to play a concert at the Farx Blues Club on March 30th, 1969; the group had only
played live about 60 times before that as Led Zeppelin! (Openers for the event were Smokey Rice and Aphrodite’
s Rainbow Light Show!) The front of this legal document outlines the terms to which the parties consented such
as venue location, performer’s responsibilities, payment terms, as well as other technicalities of the deal. Led
Zeppelin manager Peter Grant signed the contract at the bottom of the document boldly in black. The band
agreed to play at Farx in Southall, England less than 3 weeks after the contract was completed, which attests to
the fact that Led Zeppelin was mapping out their course as they went along, just months after the release of their
first record album! And as it turned out, this show occurred just five days after the famous British Supershow
concert footage of Dazed and Confused was shot at Staines, England. It is amazing to see that Led Zeppelin was
playing for £75 or 60% of the ticket gate, whichever was larger! There are several horizontal folds, because it
was probably sent in a standard envelope to be signed and returned to Chrysalis. Two holes were punched in
this 8 ¼” by 11 ¾” green contract so it could be kept in a notebook; other than that it has been impressively
maintained. This is an ORIGINAL, COMPLETE ONE PAGE CONTRACT; it is not a carbon copy, it is not a color
xerox, and there were no other pages. I would grade this piece as being in very good condition; there is
extremely light toning along the left-hand edge from age. (It does not detract from the piece, and could easily be
matted out.) To put the scarcity of this item into perspective, consider that just two Page/Plant contracts from the
1990’s turned up on the marketplace a few years ago. Yet I have only seen ONE other Led Zeppelin
performance contract on the market EVER! These legal instruments rarely made it out of business offices or
archived files and are incredibly hard to find. Plus, locating Peter Grant’s signature on ANYTHING is incredibly
difficult…it is close to impossible to obtain; finding a legal document such as this is like stumbling upon The Holy
Grail! Consider that you can now own what a true piece of music history; imagine taking your collection to the
highest level by obtaining a unique Led Zeppelin item that no one else besides yourself has! $2000.00

SUPER RARE Robert Plant Numbered Artist’s Lithograph: This is a mega-rare museum quality piece of
artwork produced for Robert Plant’s third solo album Shaken n’ Stirred. Renowned British artist Tim Ellock was
retained to paint the album cover, and this is the idea which came directly from him. Four 30” square lithographs
just like this were painted on very thick porous stock, and THIS is numbered 1 of 4!!! (Robert himself has one,
the Trinifold offices got one, and the status of the fourth one is no longer known.) Tim Ellock signed the rare
lithograph himself and Robert later signed the piece in blue ballpoint pen, and dated it as well. (October 1993;
he signed it at Hobby Airport on October 29th, 1993 on the afternoon of his concert at The Woodlands, 30
minutes north of Houston) Included with this piece is a handwritten letter from Tim Ellock stating that he was
commissioned to do the artwork, based on an idea that Robert Plant proposed.
The piece has been professionally TRIPLE MATTED and tastefully framed with a beveled metal frame (which
cost $200.00 in itself). This item is a genuine piece of Led Zeppelin-related NUMBERED ARTWORK, and is
something that no one but yourself in the Zeppelin collecting world is likely own! To prevent damage to this
irreplaceable item, it will be shipped without the glass. (Shipping for this very large framed item will be $29.95 in
the United States; elsewhere please inquire about the actual postal fees.) It is a REALLY thrilling item for all Zep
fans to see, and a terrific piece of art as well; it will surely retain its value in the music AND art worlds for decades
to come. $1000.00

ORIGINAL Robert Plant Shaken N’ Stirred Artwork: This is an awesome display, and it's safe to say you
won't ever see it anywhere else! This is a deluxe, VERY LARGE, museum quality piece which is an
EXTRAORDINARY unique collectible; the opportunity to OWN an ORIGINAL piece of artwork like this is
incredible...it RARELY occurs. This huge 39" by 23" framed display contains five parts which are beautifully
arranged and matted, creating a stunning Robert Plant Shaken n' Stirred exhibit. As you can see from the
image, there is a promotional die cut Robert Plant logo for the album across most of the top, which is printed in
red and blue. To the right of it is a UK picture sleeve of Pink and Black, which has been very nicely autographed
by Robert Plant in Sharpie marker. The ORIGINAL inspiring artwork, which was a variation on the cover theme
for Robert's third solo record album, appears in the lower lefthand corner. It is an uneven size and is a bit larger
than a standard 12" by 12" record cover, yet it's matted to a clean size to make it symmetrical with the Shaken n'
Stirred promo LP cover flat to its right. (This piece of original, hand painted art has NOT been cut; the entire
piece is there, it's just been cleanly matted out.) The artwork has been autographed by Tim Ellock, the artist who
was retained to paint the album cover, and it came directly from him. There are some very distinct differences
between this and the standard UK Pink and Black 45 picture sleeve artwork; you can see that the artwork has
more blue in the design. Next to the promotional cover flat is a handwritten letter from Tim Ellock stating that he
was commissioned to do the artwork, based on an idea that Robert Plant proposed. The piece has been
professionally matted and framed, and to prevent damage to this irreplaceable item, it will be shipped without the
glass. (Shipping for this very large framed item will be $24.95 in the United States; elsewhere please inquire
about the actual postal fees.) This item is a genuine piece of Led Zeppelin-related ARTWORK, and is something
that no one but yourself will own! It is a REALLY thrilling item for all Zep fans to see! $249.99

Robert Plant Uncut Backstage Passes display: Here are three different attractive displays which
commemorate Robert Plant's first solo tour ever! Each has three pieces to the display: a red and black name
display at the top, an ad for the 1982 Principle of Moments album with some U.S. tour dates below it, and a
RARE strip of three cloth backstage passes! The uncut passes came directly from OTTO, known in the music
industry as the largest producer of concert tour passes. Each of the three passes in the strips have "U.S.A. and
Canada '83" on them, along with a different color background bar (purple, blue, or yellow) that allowed the tour
to rotate passes on different nights in different cities. The strips are the best part of these eye-catching displays
which measure 24" by 10". There is only one of each of these displays, so there's only once chance to add one
or more to your collection. (Shipping for any of these displays will be $8.95 in the United States; elsewhere
please inquire about the actual postal fees.) Or better yet, put one in a frame, or give one away as a great gift!
